Explore the assets in your research: make an inventory list of the different assets which your research posses
2019-09-12 @ 16:00 - 18:00
An asset inventory is an exploratory process that aims at recognizing, listing and categorising intellectual assets – both tangible and intangible. Such a list makes it easier to highlight the assets that could be useful for you or others and to get an overview of the components in a project. Listing assets in research this way, support processes or tacit knowledge, as examples become valuable assets because these components are seen from new ankles and not just within your primary research.
This method also makes it easier to communicate these assets to others such as funding agencies, partners, stakeholders, potential users, research colleagues and industry.
The workshop will contain both individual and group work. You will work with your own research area and we will take you through the following elements:
- Work with an example of a research case, identifying and listing assets that might not be identified as valuable, but which actually could be valuable
- Individual work identifying assets in your own research area
- Alternative usage of the listed assets – group exercise
- How can you work with your assets from here?
No preparation is needed but we invite you to think about how you can put your research into play in different contexts before the workshop.
The event is free of charge but there is a limited number of seats so sign up is necessary
